KuCoin’s role in strengthening the Web3 universe continues, this time with the launch of a new $100 million fund.

Led by KuCoin, the leading crypto exchange, together with its brand new NFT trading platform KuCoin NFT Marketplace-Windvane and the venture capital arm KuCoin Ventures, the $100 million “Creators Fund” is aimed at incubating early-stage NFT projects.

Strengthening the Web3 universe

According to a press release from the platform, the goal is to use the funds to support the NFT Metaverse ecosystem. Projects from areas such as art, esports, PFPs, GameFi and Asian culture, among others, benefit from this.

To accelerate this growth as Web3 takes shape, KuCoin is launching a new decentralized NFT marketplace called “KuCoin NFT Marketplace-Windvane”.

According to an announcement released earlier this week, 99 outstanding NFT creators will be selected to join Windvane’s NFT marketplace. The goal is to provide all the support needed to drive growth within the metaverse.

Johnny Lyu, the CEO of KuCoin, said:

He added that Windvane’s goal is to “bridge” Web2 and Web3 to enable “a more integrated NFT world with a lower barrier of entry for users”.

KuCoin NFT Marketplace-Windvane

According to KuCoin, Windvane is a new decentralized NFT marketplace where the INO (Initial NFT Offering) users can mint and trade. NFTs trading are supported. The platform also provides access to services such as NFT management and storage with support for mainstream NFT blockchains.

Windvane will also support emerging NFT creators by providing access to KuCoin’s huge user traffic. Creators will also benefit from input from the best KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and communities as projects work towards their initial NFT offering (INO).

Windvane’s Web3 goals are in line with those of KuCoin Ventures, a “research-driven full-stage company”. In addition to Web3well Web3, the company focuses on supporting growth in the areas of decentralized finance (DeFi) and game-fi.

KuCoin has a Genesis activity announcedto celebrate the launch of Windvane, with the community invited to participate in a USDT and Genesis NFTs airdrop. According to the exchange, the activity will start on April 21, 2022 at 18:00 UTC and will run until April 26, 2022 at 18:00 UTC.

On April 8 start KuCoin KuCoin IGO, a platform that the “People’s Exchange” wants to use to drive growth in the blockchain gaming sector. The Metaverse and NFT sector will also benefit from the platform, which has already seen its first project Pikaster.
